Two slices of Sunbeam bread, the best . . . It’s soft, sticks to the roof of your mouth when moistened with Blue Plate mayonnaise and heat from the fried bologna slice with slightly crisp burnt edges. Orange-red Hot fries that stains your mouth and an ice-cold Nehi peach soda or Sunkist orange soda in a thick glass bottle, of course.
Bottle opener needed . . . It’s okay. Grandma can pop that top off with the chipped blade of her butcher knife. Yep, chipped, but sharp. She sharpened the blade herself with her file procured from the hardware store.©
